Review: The Great Gatsby

Released on May 10th, 2013 in 3D and Non 3D ; The Great Gatsby is a modern adaptation of the 1925 Novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. In the 2013 remake director Baz Luhrman takes the viewer on an 143 minute Odyssey into life in New York City during the roaring 20's. Although there were many cosmetic changes  occurring in the story from the film to the silver screen, Luhrman is still able to capture the essence of what the Novel is about.

Topics such as Betrayal, Brutality,  Class Difference  and The Decadent Downside of Living The American Dream are all explored while JAY Z lends his artistic gifts to the Films Score and Production. The film is not totally somber; it moves past the excess of the rich and reckless youth and shows the power of love, the desire for success and the indomitable closeness of a true friend. The Great Gatsby is told and seen through the eyes of Nick Carraway played by (Tobey Maguire) who with the help of  Leonardo DiCaprio(Jay Gatsby) helps to usher in the summer blockbuster season with style!  Our Rating 8 out of 10 . The Great Gatsby will be available everywhere on Blu-Ray and DVD August 27, 2013

Official Synopsis: A Midwestern war veteran finds himself drawn to the past and lifestyle of his millionaire neighbor.

When did you launch 804 Street Media & what was the catalyst for you launching 804 Street Media ?

"The official brand evolved into a business around 2013, but the grind to put the 804 (Richmond. Virginia) on the map started back in the 1990’s. Everything started with hip-hop. In 1997 I had a rap group here in Richmond. Virginia was on the rise, we were actually the only rap group from Richmond to share a stage with Nas. This was around the time "It Was Written" dropped. Eventually, however the group parted ways. I put the microphone down and started promoting other artists. Coming from one of  the hardest places to "get on" from is Virginia, because support on every level…
