Tech News: Hoverbikes may provide alternative transportation in 2017 and beyond

The company called Aero-X is now taking deposits for its new  prototype hoverbike , that they say will be available by 2017. Even though the futuristic vehicles will set consumers back an estimated  $85,000, the makers have grander ambitions than just making an awesome mode of sci-fi inspired commuter transportation. They hope that their vehicles—that can go 45 m.p.h.—will be an asset to people like disaster relief workers who will be able to hover over hazardous terrain.
