Election 2016: Film Review: Funny or Die Presents: Donald Trump's The Art of The Deal

This Netflix mini-movie from Adam McKay’s online comedy channel Funny Or Die is full of good lines, it is an inside look at the self-satire of its subject Donald Trump. The film is pretty funny but also very poignant in the sense that the was made, quickly and very quietly, months ago in anticipation that Trump would implode at any moment. When his lead in the polls kept holding, they decided to hold the movie’s release back in the expectation that he might actually win a primary. Ironically he did.
The film does have some areas that are lacking in the way that the jokes were written but overall is a fun watch regardless of one's political leanings. I also loved the soundtrack ! The film's intro music, is by Kenny Loggins, part of the wider satire of 80s culture here. Which makes sense: Adam McKay, who runs the Funny or Die site, also directed “Anchorman,” another comedy with lots of jokes at the expense of a particular time in modern America.
