Louisiana Flooding Relief: Taylor Swift Pledges $1 Million Effort Donation

Artist Taylor Swift has pledged to donate $1 million for relief in Louisiana following the state's widespread, catastrophic flooding.

Although she is from Pennsylvania, the Singer-Songwriter felt a personal connection to Louisiana, where she began her most recent tour.

"We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home," Swift said in a statement. "The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking. I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time."

Currently, the death toll has reached 11 people, 20,000 people are displaced and 40,000 homes have been affected.

The cable news outlet, CNN has compiled a list of ways to help the people of Louisiana.
