RECAP: NAACP Memphis Branch Centennial Freedom Fund Luncheon Celebration 2017

This past weekend, The Hilton Hotel Memphis, hosted the 2017 NAACP Centennial Celebration Freedom Fund Luncheon. This celebration was dedicated to the Memphis chapter's 100 years of service to people of color as well as a preview of what's to come for the organization. The celebration saw activists, journalist, educators and more from all 50 states, with the intent to come up with ways to combat injustice, police brutality and lack of education in black communities.
Keynote Speakers Melissa Harris-Perry ( Maya Angelo Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University) + Former U.S. Congressman Harold Ford Jr. gave rousing speech on the state of Black America as well as the shape of things to come.
