Summer Music Festival Spotlight: Riot Fest Chicago 2016

The line up has been announced for Riot Fest 2016, including The Original Misfits, Refused, Morrissey, Ween, Rob Zombie, Deftones and many more. Riot Fest 2016 will take place in Douglas Park for the second year in a row. The Original Misfits were announced as headliners last week, bringing old-punk nostalgia out into the sunshine as Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein perform together for the first time in more than 30 years.
A number of acts on the bill will be performing full-album sets from their catalogs at Riot Fest. Social Distortion will do a 20th anniversary performance of "White Light, White Heat, White Trash" on the exact date of the album's original release, Sept 17 (1996 was the OG date). Rob Zombie will perform White Zombie's "Astro-Creep: 2000" and The Hold Steady will play "Boys and Girls in America”.  Riot Fest is Sept. 16-18 in Douglas Park. Tickets are available here.
